Router Compatibility Notice - Zub Connect
Zub Connect provides SIM-based LTE/5G internet services that rely on compatibility between the network, SIM card, and customer device.
Supported Devices
-
Routers supplied directly by Zub Connect are fully supported.
-
Popular LTE/5G routers from reputable brands (e.g. Huawei, ZTE, Nokia) are generally compatible, subject to correct configuration and firmware.
Customer-Supplied Routers
If you choose to use your own router, please note:
-
Zub Connect does not guarantee compatibility with customer-supplied or second-hand routers.
-
We can confirm SIM and network status only.
-
Configuration, firmware, authentication, and hardware-related issues remain the responsibility of the customer.
Known Compatibility Limitations
-
Certain router models (including some TP-Link LTE routers such as the MR600) may experience authentication or network registration issues due to firmware or chipset behavior.
-
These issues are device-specific and are not indicative of a SIM or network fault.
Troubleshooting Requirement
When connection issues occur on a customer-supplied router, customers may be required to:
-
Test the SIM in an alternative compatible LTE/5G router, or
-
Update router firmware to the latest version recommended by the manufacturer.
Refunds and Cancellations
-
Compatibility issues related to customer-supplied equipment do not qualify as network faults.
-
Refunds are not applicable where the service is available and the SIM is fully operational.
-
Services are provided on a month-to-month basis and may be cancelled in line with our terms.
For optimal performance and full support, Zub Connect recommends using a router supplied by us.
